The finishing philosophy of the two brands is almost polar opposites. The FB is more austere and functional, and let’s the amazing tech be the star of the show. That suits me more. They even issued this watch in a scratch-resistant titanium case which makes it the best finished, best tech-infused haute horologie watch in the market.
The GF’s finishing is also different from what I’m used to seeing on Patek’s/Lange’s etc, but you can see the focus on finishing (and showcasing it) more than what is on display on the FB. The signature 1 is a dream piece bc of the simplicity, but that DB has a mirror behind the large black-polished bridge and balance wheel so you can see the underside. THAT blew my mind.
