The ETA and the testimony it will make to history

 

Arguably, no significant collector will leave out an ETA in his/her collection...and the SINN has some good ones stored inside its cases.

The Sinn U 1 that I chose to get has served me well...continues to do so, and I bought another in black, and I still have the original in grey!

The basic ETA is about the best, most relieable movement ever.

It is appropriate for any watch that strives to be a "tool" or "machine of functionality" to use an ETA, especially a Sinn, which is right at the top end of the function orientated and practical watches.

The allure of the Sinn is its indestructable and reliable nature.

It is one of the few honest, good watches to enjoy, and testifies of a historical time, the present, when the eta 2892 and such..are dominantly the reliable workhorses of this period.

I have just given in and ordered a Sinn U1 on a rubber strap...!!!!! As you know I have pestered you many times but now it's on it's way... Andy.

my Sinn watches had certainly served me well (so much so that my collection of Sinn watches had grown from 1 just before the Hourglass' Tempus last year to the current 4, i.e., 3 in the following pic + a SS Sinn Regulateur added this month) ......  

The U1 is just my favourite, Peter!
