The Androgyne and comparisons
Hi Sham,
Thanks for your comparison with the Androgyne and sharing your thoughts on the 1770 Voltige! I can see some similarities that you point out as it looks similar with the LM101 that has the balance wheel centered on the dial and the 40mm case being a more manageable size. From what I understand, Eric Giroud worked on the design of both watches so probably that's why the similarities.
Interesting point about pricing, the retail on the 1770 Voltige in stainless steel is approx 45% less the LM101 in precious metals versions.
Very cool that you have the Androgyne, during the JCK event I handled several watches in the Royale collection including the Opera minute repeater tourbillon, and variations of the Androgyne in black pvd coated stainless steel.

Nice MB&F, from my understanding Eric Giroud worked on the designs of your 101 and also this Royale 1770 Voltige. Both look nice, I like how the balance wheel pops up from the dial. Regards, ED-209
Would be nicer if free-balanced....
That regulator is a little too unrefined for the rest of the face. But then, if you had weights on the balance wheel, the design wouldn't be so clean
