Actually I would prefer the BB with the ETA movement because it is thinner and more elegant.
ETA movement such as the 2892, 7750 are predictable workhorses. If the wheel isn't broken, why fix it?
It is embarassing for houses such as IWC to put a new mechanism into their watches, only to bring back "teething issues" they did not anticipate. For example, the IWC spitfire's 32110 mechanism has a problem with the second hands hopping back when the backwards when the seconds are deployed.
My only wish is that ETA 2892 will get an upgraded silicium mainspring and escapement to improve anti-magnetism. In this age, Faradays caging makes the watches too bulky.
