i've liked this since 2008 when i got my mate one as part payment for fitting my kitchen. he loves it to bits and i've been tempted several times only to find a 1964 piece i want more.
the best bit is that the blue dial is discontinued, but i found a dealer on fleabay selling 2 new ones. i got mine for about 50% of the going rate so not only long wanted and fery pleasing, but a bargain as well.

BDLJ sent me a pic of all the mechanical parts in an eco drive and the number are quite astonishing especially in the multi function pieces.

i'm not a quartz fan, but now have 2. this and a G Shock.

A Very Nice Presentation by Citizen, they make amazing watches which are great value for money, the Series 8 Eco Drive Radio Wave is a handsome watch, hopefully they will consider introducing it in Super Titanium. S

I have always been a big fan of the higher-end Japanese domestic market Citizen watches. Might have to pick up that purple lacquer Eco-Drive Campanola one of these days.

.. but Eco-Drive is something interesting and different from Quartz in that it doesn't need battery change so often. And it is amazing that Eco-Drive can do so much with its energy - another difference from standard quartz watch, IMVHO :-) Ken
