I wanted a big bad chrono--and I think this does the trick. It's unlike anything in my collection. I think IWC did an amazing job. The case is so cool. I love the hands. I remember when I first saw it... I was almost knocked off my chair. Then I thought about getting the 'regular' Pilot chrono 3717, but... something about it wasn't as 'big and bad' as this one... I saw this 3786 at a GTG about 18 months ago, and was surprised how much I still really liked it in person.

I've never been too caught up in whether it's a 7750 or not, unless I am paying 2-3-5 times the price of this watch. This, to me, is a watch all about design, the case, the hands, the way the date is laid out, I don't always need a 'from scratch' movement to give me my Jones. I have other watches for that!
