Horological Meandering

Well... Eversince my colleague interested in military watches and his love for the military things, the release of the Longines (tribute to RAF) Military watch in Baselworld 2018 really blown him away... Well... I know that this piece is quite controversi...  

I do not mind the fake dots. It has so much style at a budget price. Most importantly at 38.5mm instead of say 40mm, it is a most wearable watch!!

To spend chf 1x,xxx in a longines RAF with anyhow dial and anyhow movement condition without the manufacturer warranty and the uncertainty of the service cost and part availability or even restoration bills, I think I would prefer this chf2000 one instead... 

even if one was a rich mortal!!

One with and one without 😂. For the thickness though... It's not thick at all imho as the movement basically the same with 2892 but modified the mainspring and barrel to makes it had the longer power reserve, and modified the balance to makes it free spru...

Hope longines would re-re-release this one! This one contains the 2824 lookalike no automatic winding no date movement. And back to the Military watch, the lug to lug is not super long like Legend Diver has, and not as thick as LDD contains a 2824 movemen...  

those ridiculous spots on the dial....awful! What can we expect next? Faux rust on the case; a few artfully applied dings and scratches. Such a shame but still a lovely watch. Regards Kev.

In their titanic tourbillon limited edition if I recall 😂 or was it the tourbillon day and night without the hour and minute? 😂 😂 😂 Or the super electric charged cases from Artya 🤣

At that price, it's unbeatable. Love the size too. Knowing that each dial has a unique dot pattern, I could live with that. Best, Vte

I think Longines has done a great job on this watch, as they have with many of their other vintage reissues. Really nice piece, especially for the $$$.
