Horological Meandering

That looks to me to be the saying that goes with that coat of arms. "Fleiss und Wille" "Industriousness and Will" is probably not the most poetic translation, but word for word from German. My guess is that is the coat of arms that the purchaser had engra... 

thanks don, didn't know what it meant even. inside the case it is hallmarked F&H i believe. i can't even identify the song it plays. i hope i can get more input from the watchpros. is this forum the right place for this type of post? have a great day

I have a wristwatch with the same German Motto and a similar but expanded crest. The watch is a 25 year award for the years 1928-52. The motto translates as Diligence and Will and I suspect it is a corporate or government logo and motto.

I believe this is the motto of the Markhof Family of Austria. I have a 25 Year Wristwatch with their Family Crest engraved on the were and possibly are still involved in a brewery/food company in Austria. Fleiss Und Wille ...
