Horological Meandering

It took some time to come to this, but I think I have at long last completed my Trinity. Acquired in the order below, starting with my birth year watch (back in early 2022) and to my latest NWA today: 1) VC 43031 (1984) 2) PP 3940J (1997) 3) AP 5043 (196x...

Thank you for the compliment! As you can see, I can be rather boring when it comes to strap colours. I do have a deep navy, grey grained and dark olive croc strap for the VC, but the PP only has that brown strap. With the AP, I decided to explore a little...

To me, an important caliber in the AP history books. Perhaps you can say it is the first ultra-thin, manually wound and serially produced caliber from AP, which definitely set the tone for their future models. Cheers for the compliments! By virtue of wear... 

Like VC's cal. 1003, it's un upgraded version of the Frederic Piguet 21, the blanks of which were made by JLC. I really love your AP and have been considering similar time only pieces for myself as the idea of completing my holy trinity is definitely on m... 

...are fantastic 'shaped' representations of both brands. Perhaps then you need a shaped AP as well... the H case (also with cal. 2003; I've only ever seen one in person) you posted a little while back is a great candidate ;-) ...

Was the initial intention to get a representative vintage PC from each of the trinity brands? An AP perpetual would have also been nice given their rich history, but I totally understand your thinking and ultimate choice.

I never set off to even have a "Trinity" -- it was all chance. The quest started off with acquiring a birth year watch, and I did so with the VC. The PP was coincidental; good time, right price, reasonable condition.. it all just fell into place. And so h... 

Very nice. Not the usual trinity collection but that is what makes collecting such a personal art form. But I must ask, mainly in fear I am doing something grossly wrong: why is it taking so long to adjust your PCs? Assuming you haven’t worn in a few days... 

I have a notepad (digital one, hahaha!) that I need to open and read through step-by-step. I need to have a clear mind and head-space, for fear of not making any mistakes. Its just a fear -- I once set the VC some months ahead, and ended up not wearing th...
