Horological Meandering

Some time back I bought this old Lemania chronograph which arrived with this really cool little triangle shape half way up the chronograph seconds hand. I have never seen this on another Lemania - nor on any other watch for that matter - and was curious i...  

Even if I was certain it was incorrect on this watch, there is no way I would change it.

I think it may be a later addition, as it seems too short.

Running seconds is at the 9 o'clock sub, chronograph seconds is on the cannon pinion, elapsed minutes is in the 3 o'clock subdial
