Just got this Albishorn Type 10 monopusher chronograph the other day.
The purchase was inspired by LarryK’s cool, black-dialed version of the same watch that we’re lucky to see here from time to time.
Special thanks to Larry for the inspiration and for answering my pre-purchase Qs !

I’m finding my new Type 10 a lot of fun on the wrist and -- with its 39mm diameter and relatively svelte 12mm thickness -- very wearable for an aviation-themed chronograph. The movement is a proprietary manual wind that Google AI identifies as a heavily modified Valjoux 7750. It offers a running seconds subdial on the right, a 30-mins. elapsed minute counter on the left, and a unique, small circular display at 12 that shows red when the chronograph is engaged.
The movement is spec’d for 65-hours of power reserve, but I am getting only 43 hours of runtime at maximum wind.
The watch’s off-white, textured dial and its overall vintage vibe are set off nicely by the splashy red chrono actuator at 9.5 and the copper-colored crown at 10.5. Those visual spices along the case’s periphery, together with the upwardly angled, “shallow dish”-like bezel help to give what could have been a staid looking timepiece a distinctive appearance all its own. Two surprisingly sturdy and well-made straps come with the watch, one black, the other light brown. They both look and feel consistent with the watch’s overall military aesthetic, with good texture and thickness, and an attentively finished edge.
I find that the Albishorn embodies many of the things that make a microbrand fun, and am definitely looking forward to seeing their future creations.
