Samsung Galaxy Gear watch - some wrist shot pictures
I didn't play with the Samsung Galaxy Gear watch that much and mainly tried it on the wrist to see how it fits. I was tired of seeing pictures on the web and also on TV of women trying on this watch. Every time on CNBC I see the watch, it's a lady with a 5.5" wrist trying on the watch - not a good choice for a wrist model if you ask me. So I was curious to see how it would fit on a guy's wrist.
Overall as a watch lover, in terms of comfort on the wrist, I was disappointed in the bulkiness and awkwardness of the watch. This probably was exaggerated because the metal clamping security device, installed on the watch to keep shoplifters away, made the watch thicker. I'm sure my experience with the watch was hampered as a result because of the security device.
The strap is hard rubber but it was fairly flexible to comform to your wrist. The deployant clasp feels very "techie" and not a clasp you would find on a luxury watch.
Samsung is selling this watch along with the new Galaxy Note 3 phone but I don't know if many will fork out the dough to wear this watch. Just my 2 cents on this quick review on the comfortability of the Galaxy Gear.
Cheers,
Anthony

Thanks Anthony for the first pictures that I see of this "watch" on a regular wrist. I go to see one "in metal" early next week (a geek friend just acquired one) and I will try to capture a picture wearing it. So far, not my cup of coffee or tea. Cheers, ...

I think I could actually wear this with regards to the size alone, but the reported lack of good integration with key apps (no Gmail support, really?) and limited functionality are deal breakers. _john
