RAYMOND WEIL Post Basel 2011

Recently, Elie Bernheim, Director of RAYMOND WEIL and also one of the grandsons of Mr Raymond Weil to unveil their Post Basel 2011 Collections in the gallery of Steinway Singapore.  Initially, a question about the rationale for selecting the venue.  It is only logical since Raymond Weil and his family members all interested in classical music and operas. Better still, both RAYMOND WEIL and Steinway & Sons are represented by the same company in Singapore, C.Melchers.

A recap for the afternoon press event and also some pictures of the watches.   Particularly, one model is with a really good and long overdue innovation....

The gent's version comes with an automatic movement while the lady's with a quartz.

The sporty RW, the Nabucco Inverso with an imposing 46mm titanium and steel case. An automatic chronograph with 46 hours power reserve.  Date correction is made easy with the pusher at 10H.

Maestro Chronograph Automatic.  Case is pink gold 5N PVD and diameter is 41.5mm.

This piece the 39.5mm diameter Maestro Phase de Lune  is RW's first moon phase complication with a mechanical movement.

The 18K yellow gold version is a Special Anniversary LE piece to commemorate RAYMOND WEIL's35th anniversary.  The quantity is not found in their press releases.

What is interesting about this piece, is it has tackle one of the long overdue issues - easy adjustment of the date and moonphase without a pointed object or toothpick!
RW has incorporated correctors subtlely on the perimeter of the case and hidden in between the lugs (at  position 12:30 is for the date and 6:30).

Understand RW has applied patent for this concept during the presentation.
