Question about Rattrapante for the experts

Hi All,


I've been reading about the Czapek Rattrapante and it's a rattrapante MODULE not integrated. Question is.... are all rattrapante watches module on top of another movement? I know chronographs can be integrated chronos or modular but what about rattrapante watches?

Some less expensive rattrapantes are modules. For instance IWC's rattrapante on their Top Gun Doppel-chrono is a modular one. But if you look at higher end rattrapantes, their movements were built from the ground up to be a rattrapante. You can even see t...

I was thinking about the Glashutte Original rattrapante. That one I believe should be integrated.

I am not sure about Valjoux 55, to but all Venus rattrapante are modules. Breguets and Patek 5004 are Lemania based. Lange regular rattrapante is a module I believe, not sure about double and triple split. I assume they are still based on Lange chronograp...
