That's a great point you make about the precision of a nice clock!
I started out on my horology journey besotted by watches from the 1940-60's golden era, but slowly as I came across good clocks, I found there's just as much pleasure to be had from a clock. What I like best, is if you have 5 good watches, you can only enjoy them one at a time, while the rest sit in a drawer or safe deposit locker. On the other hand if you have 5 good clocks, you can set them out around the house, and there's a lot more 'viewing' pleasure to be had without having to go visit the drawer all the time. Also, the fact there's a far higher hand-made and traditional work content in the clocks, as compared to watches which in general end up being more factory produced.
