This a great discovery, the movement is amazing. Isn't this what we find modified (via Lemania) in ... what's that watch called .. Antiqua ... ? :) I hope you enjoy the watch and treasure that you've got this movement in there, it is one of my favorites f...

but the other 2 were present for a get-together at RGM Watches in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My pair does present an interesting contrast, The Longines 990/Lemania 8815 is indeed a very well-regarded movement combining reasonable durability, extended power ...

... the one I know has more digit in the serial number (8 digits) while yours has 7 digits s/n. Maybe the earlier version has 994.1 inside? BUT, this page shows interesting data - not sure this is entirely accurate. 10&1archimedeshop&b119&2usw... 

The last digit was digitally erased by me on the picture, following a local paranoia about serial numbers. Next time I will do this using a more explicit paint. The information about this movement on that site seems to be incorrect. I was able to locate 9...

instead of next to each other. In any case, it was a thick movement. The 990 was the first slim one, with barrels next to each other. I believe that the numbers 990 through 994 refer to various combinations of date functions and second hands.

But i do know that you got a good deal. Its a watch i've always liked, but as i dont understand how the bezel and internal disc work there is no point me buying one. It would be like buying a car if you cant drive. What size case is it nilo? I've seen som... 

But with vintage, I'm always concerned. About the size, it's 38mmn. The 47mm, that I already had in my hands/wrist, make me look like a ... Clown. Cheers, Nilo
