Non-Screw Down Crown and Water Resistance

Oct 22, 2018,11:40 AM

One of my watches is a Bell & Ross BR-123-92.  It states 100M water resistance on both the dial and case back, it does not have a screw down crown.  I have always been cautious about getting my watches wet, especially the non-screw down models.  Can this watch get wet, not swimming or showering wet, but rain and hand washing wet with only a pull out crown?  Am I being over cautious, yes I am but am curious also.  I don't really swim with either of my Rolex but don't worry about a little water exposure.

Thanks,

Tom

Have your watch checked for WR (free at wempe, etc.) and then you're good.

You should be fine, but personally I wouldn't swim if it didn't have a screw down crown.
