Nicolas is right to emphasize the moonphase as pretext to the primary concern of precision
I cannot countenance the foudroyante sharing time with a moonphase complication, which to me together suggests a celestial serenity (rendered beautifully by IWC with the Portofino Moonphase, whose Roman numeral indices and Breuget hands--along with the moonphase complication itself--suggest to me at least a medieval sense of wonder and serenity) offset by the frenzied and frenetic function of the foudroyante. An unresolved tension......'
I'd opt for the Moser in this situation--a well conceived perpetual calendar that encases an interchangeable dual escapement wheel component--designed for ease of maintenance.
Good luck with your choice! Please let us know what you decide, and post a wrist shot of your purchase
Warm regards,
J

The Moser perpetual is my favorite iteration of the perpetual calendar, and palladium my favorite metal so I'd be sorely tempted to pick up that watch between the two. The JLC in question is, however, a more interesting watch (even if I prefer the origina...

Both JLC and Moser have good websites, so you can view the watches there ... Moser for me without hesitation. Love that simple execution of the complex perpetual calendar complication. Andrew...

Wow, thanks for all the great opinions Keep them coming! It seems that there're slightly more people liking the JLC due to the dial being more interesting. Amanico did bring up a good point saying that Moser's simplicity is a two-edged sword and I agree. ...
