I think your approach of building
a small but meaningful (to you) collection is the right way to go. Don't rush in to impulse buys. Take your time to look, re-look and re-look a watch before you commit. The initial WOW, marketing forces can often lead to impulse buys that you could regret very quickly and if buying new, more often than not, these impulse buys will ensure you lose a big percentage off your purchase price.
Go quality that make sense to you. You seem to be off to a good start with the Moser IMO.
