Horological Meandering

I will review them a bit later, as I am preparing an article on these watches, but I can't resist to the pleasure to share this picture with you, featuring two Lemania issued for the British. Watches with a lot of charm and presence. How do you like it? B...  

.... both beeing wonderful pieces ! I do recall your no lume submariner white dial issued Lemania chronograph though ... and the black Aussie & MoD issued are very desirable too. Arghhhh !!! Meantime, I've chosen a third way... Best regards - Fred ...

I would go black, I like that military style dial and the better overall contrast, but white would be ok too. :) cheers vte

... If I were given the choice, I would go for the black dial one. I have an special fondness for black dials, and this example with the white broad arrow, and the thick luminous markers looks awesome to me. Not to say that I don´t like the clear dial one... 

Did you notice that the white dial was unsigned? I am a sucker for these sterile dials. But I also understand your attraction ofr black dials... A lot! ;) Un abrazo, amigo mio. Nicolas

Were some of the chrono monopushers issued to the swedish military? PS: tried one on the other day and loved the thickness of these.

I would say you should look into these two to start with.... Best Blomman ...  

I'm guessing it has some kind of service number on the caseback?

I guess they are easier to find here.... ;) But you should hurry. They have started to pop up more seldom and getting more expensive .... Best Blomman ...  

Swedish crowns + ID number on the caseback is rarer?

Maybe not rarer... But definitely later! Small/Big crowns during the 50's while the M-number came in the 60's. Best Blomman

... normally, I prefer timepieces with bright dials. But in this case, the black face appears much more authentic, and the dial is not so empty. Marcus

custom vintage watches were acceptable, I would take the stepped case wearing the black dial with the white dial. If black dials look the obvious choice at first sight, this white/silver dial with no name and what seems to be a perfect patina is the most ...
