New nato for the Colt (plus my thoughts on new Breitling watches)
As I anticipated a couple on months ago here (http://www.watchprosite.com/page-wf.forumpost/fi-17/pi-9521846/ti-1186201/s-0/t--my-first-breitling/), I finally received my Phenomenato nato strap from Hungary.
The shipping took over a month (I have to say I had it shipped to Italy where the post is proverbially slow) but then it arrived and I have to say the premium price (40 Euros) is worth. It feels very soft and well done too and the color is pretty shiny "silk-like" (the iphone pics are as usual not so turthful).
A last comment: I am a fan of Breitling and I think their style is very original, I also have no doubt at all on the experience and knowledge on watches of Mr. Kern, but the last Baselworld models left me a little...let's say surprised. I think some models have been minimalized too much, therefore losing some of the Breitling appeal because of their unique features. An example (since I have mine on the wrist right now), the new Colt just lost the concentric circles on the dial, the polished case and the "winged B" as logo (I have also attached a screenshot below). I know look is something subjective but it think this has been simplified too much - and not only the Colt. Also the new Chronomat crown makes the watche older instead of newer (to me).
I have read many similar comments on the web, if you fancy let me know yours here too
thanks all for reading
cheers
Flavio
