Jumping Seconds!

The dial of the jumping seconds is what makes it stand out. You can tell what watch it is from across the room - which is sometimes how I decide which watch to get.

Both watches are of different price range though. If you consider the RL Pour Le Merite vs Jumping Seconds, which are of closer price range, then I think it would be even harder to choose the winner

Whatever brings out the strongest positive emotion in you in the right answer. The Richard Lange sweep seconds released in 2006 was immediately what drew me to Lange so I am biased towards this simplicity. Owning it since 2010 it still keeps incredible ac...

Then with the savings you'll have not buying the jumping seconds I would buy another Lange with the difference! Tony

Regular RL

I would go for the regular RL. Wonderful time only piece. I’m personally not enamored with the jumping seconds dial layout, but I generally never like regulator layouts on wristwatches as they make reading the time quickly more difficult.

Excellent choices

The left is classic while the jumping seconds is distinctive and impressive look. A watch tells a lot the type person you are. Hopefully this helps. Enjoy your Lange.

Definitely the jump seconds for the following reasons:

1. The movement looks a lot better and fills up the case back more completely. 2. The 39.9mm case would be a better fit I believe than the 40.5mm case of the Richard Lange. Size does matter 3. A limited edition Lange is always a better purchase (in terms ...

+1

The time is "more" rigth for the Jumping Seconds

By: COUNT DE MONET : August 20th, 2018-06:08
You have "missed" the time to buy a RL new and therefore go rather for the Jumping Seconds, which is by far more collectible, more technical. However, if you want to go only by the look than go simply for what you like and forget the first sentence ! Eith...

Although I can understand the appeal for the jumping seconds regulator....

My vote is for the Richard Lange. This has always been my favorite Lange ever since I discovered the brand in the mid to late 2000´s. It is the Lange I aspire to own one day. A pure, simple beauty to my eyes. Please let us know what you decide in the end....

If you are willing to consider a third option, the Zeitwerk is worth a look

While not a limited edition, it is somewhat limited in the marketplace. It has a jumping minute, (not second), and it can be had at a price point similar to the jumping seconds. It also has a unique appearance and is a technical marvel.
