It definitely shows that Omega put some thought about how to position and implement the sub seconds.

Putting into Perspective…

 By: Clueless_Collector : April 12th, 2022-00:57
This CK 859 is really making some waves here on WPS. Calatrava, Sector Dial, Small seconds…can’t ask for more. How do you think it’s doing, next to a few iconic watches, 1815 HG, Chopard LUC 25th anniversary and our beloved 5196P? Beautiful dome crystal ...

Seeing this...

I wonder if Chopard changed to thicker prints on the LUC even compared with my older model ...

All are gems!

That Omega is really nice, esp. with the domed crystal. Awesome offering at that price point. The devil, as always, in the details, such as under a loupe or when you look at the case back. But, on the dial side all are great! I wonder how the Omega compar...

I have some close ups on the Omega thread and it looks good...

Movement is commercial 8926 which is METAS but of course not expecting much hand polishing etc.

Thanks Nico…

With the modern manual wind movement, it is quite acceptable and yes, totally a value proposition piece.

Looks wise…the Omega is quite nice.

The Eye of the Beholder!

 By: patrick_y : April 12th, 2022-07:54
Beauty is always all in the eye of the beholder! I'll count on you to tell me which one is your favorite. For me, I really like that 5196P. And that 1815 Lange in 40mm is my favorite Lange. I've got simpler tastes, I only wanted the white gold version.

Very tough for me since I treat them all equal regardless of the brand.

 By: Clueless_Collector : April 12th, 2022-13:44
I rotate wearing all of them in no order.

Absolutely....on a grand scheme of things....I really think this is the right approach.

Many times when I look at a box of watches, I don't know what to pick to begin with...my eyes are blank at first, then my mind comes into play to decide on occasion, matching outfits, when is the last time I wore which, and sometimes the Date of a watch h...

And how do you choose which car to drive?

 By: patrick_y : April 13th, 2022-02:30
I actually don't have a choice most of the time, since I only keep one car with me and another off site.

This one is easy…

My son drives the Cayenne S to school. I drive the i8 and my wife gets the G 😬

Ahh! That's clear!

 By: patrick_y : April 13th, 2022-03:48
Ok, no confusion there!

It works very well within that fantastic group!

 By: jlux : April 12th, 2022-08:02
Dial and case, it is certainly on par (if not better) than the others. Of course the movement finish is more elaborate on the others but technically the movement in the Omega is far more advanced. Altogether an awesome group of which (I have to confess) t...

Amazing!

The CK859 really fits perfectly well in your small-seconds collection!

You might need to change your handle to 'Mindful_Collector'. ;)

 By: KCLQMULKU : April 12th, 2022-17:09
From what I have seen so far, you have very fine horological taste. 👍

I’m still clueless why all of a sudden…

 By: Clueless_Collector : April 12th, 2022-17:22
So many collectors popped out from nowhere 😅? I thought us watch collectors are a rare breed that is going to extinct at some point…when I realize my next gen and younger population are mostly into smart watches. I like this new name “Mindful_Collector” 👍...

😆👍

What an amazing quatuor and interesting question! These 4 are each stunning in their own respect IMO. Funny you pose that question because for me the CK859 bring a feel while wearing it …

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 12th, 2022-10:27
That I find very similar to my Lange up/down. I describe this with words, but these two have some character that my other dressy type watch don’t have (or trigger)…I would add actually my reverso in that category for me. I guess all of them have elements ...

That is quite a nice compliment to the CK 859, that it was design and built well…

 By: Clueless_Collector : April 12th, 2022-13:53
I don’t have any JLC Reverso because too many nice ones that I don’t know which to pick. I do have this though. ...

Oh boy! That works too!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 12th, 2022-15:39

Yup…that’s my point 💪🏻

 By: Clueless_Collector : April 12th, 2022-13:53

Though sometimes the sub seconds placement can be awkward when they upsize.

 By: Nicetomeetyou : April 12th, 2022-14:48
Omega did a nice job. Less changes is more better here 🤩

Less is more and simple is complicated.

At the right side

 By: Weems@8 : April 12th, 2022-17:31
CK859 and 5196P both are my faves of the picture. Third is the Chopard. The dark ring is a bit to much for me.

The dark ring is actually radiant Blue

So it brings out the indices but I understand what you mean ...

Thank you for contributing

 By: Weems@8 : April 13th, 2022-19:22
I do not want to harm your Chopard. I guess Chopard want to make watches personally, for the individual. The specific Chopard way is somehow shocking for me. Drive me into Omega’s arms. Why the Omega have that aura that is so attractive is a mystery. We a...

CK859 looks stunning in deed !
