Impressive Longines Heritage Department.
Some months ago, I asked some informations about my Longines 30 CH Chrono.
The answer came within ... 4 hours!
A few weeks ago, I tried to get some informations about my Longines Vintage Diver:
And once again, the answer came a few hours later... :
" Watch No 12'365’ xxx.
It refers to a Diving wirstwatch, in Stainless Steel,, Ref 7150.
It was sold on October 7th, 1964, to the AD Ostersetzer, who was our Longines Agent for many years in Italy.
This model has an Automatic movement, 24 Jewels, Central Seconds."
Which was, for those who know me, another divine surprise, as I am mad about watches from year 1964. 
Definitely, and more seriously, I'm very impressed by the reactivity and the quality of the informations provided by theLongines Historical Department.
An example for all the Historical brands!

Vintage Longines, for sure! You're perfectly right, Ling, there are a lot of very tempting Vintage Longines. If you only take in consideration the 30 CH or the 13 ZN Chronos, the number of very appealing pieces is far from being limited. Best, Nicolas

The movement number, apparently, relates to a Manufacturing date.
That's what I've been asked, to provide me the year of release, or, more exactly, the year the Manufacture sold the watch to the AD. Best, Ben. Nicolas

Makes me love Longines more. I wish the new chrono was a manual wind, although I may still consider it after taking a look in the metal. I wish everyone, including Longines, would quit with adding date windows to re-editions though. Cheers, Daos
