Horological Meandering

I was just thinking about this very conundrum….

Omega being a good example of the reverse. Both valid ideas. Can you introduce many models without denigrating the core branding? I’m an omega fanatic but at this time I’m hard pressed to make the case for yet another one but there are let’s say maybe 3 more (maximum) that I could perhaps talk myself into buying…same I imagine with Rolex. How many Omega / Rolex can you own (maybe 6-9 for either brand) before you’re just piling on color variants etc? But three extra watches maybe the very margin necessary for some of these brands to take the denigration risk. I may be restating your question but I think it may very well come down to this equation.
