Horological Meandering

Blame it on the internet, they say. It all began when I was surfing the internet using the free Wifi at the Manor departmental store in Lucerne, Switzerland. It was dinner time, and free Wifi is hard to come by in Switzerland. So, while I was busying look...

Really? I got mine in Lucerne. Yes, this is my first Swatch. Hahaha I think you misinterpreted the 'loudness' part. I meant that the movement was loud; the ticking sound that it makes can be audible in a relatively quiet environment! Best, Robin

The first Swatches ticked very loud. At some point in time they made changes to make them quieter. Then they got complaints that they weren't real Swatches any more, too quiet. Now some models are loud, others quieter, but all louder than most watches. Do... 

I have a few but the last one I got which is the skeleton version is so loud I can't keep it in the bedroom as it would keep me awake.!! Can't wait to get one of these new ones and my local Swatch shop is now saying Feb. Yours, Andy.

I was also tempted, but I agree with you that the dial and hand design make the legibility somewhat poor...and I already have trouble seeing easier dials... Thanks for sharing!

Hi Great review - just confirms that I still want one. Some thoughts on your comments about readability and loudness of ticking - as its a swatch they'll will do lots of different designs over time so even if the one you've got isn't wonderfully legible t... 

Just that I am not use to this "features" of Swatch. But I am sure I'll grow to love it even more in due time! Best, Robin

it has just re enforced my wish to have one. i will accept all the cons, especially the strap as they are readily available in leather from Swatch. looking forward to the UK release and collecting my red one. G
