I've seen a a scam where the buyer
says they have a check for $5,000 and want to buy your $2000 item. They will send you the check for $5000 and they want you to send them the item, AND the $3000 change. (The numbers I use were ones I just happened to type, I've seen this scam involving hundreds of thousands of dollars, and sadly, people being what they are I'm sure several have fallen for it.)
