I’ve had some bad experiences

…with one repairer, forget their name but they were on the lower ground floor of a building on Nathan Road just by Chungking Mansions. That was an expensive service which ended with a watch with loose parts rattling around inside. Not ideal.

I’d suggest taking the watches to Raymond on the Pottinger Street steps just up from Queens Road Central - he’s in, I think, the second little kiosk as you go up the steps from QRC. (It’s the only watch stand.) He mostly specialises in vintage Rolexes but has helped me get a few non-Rolex vintage watches repaired, and even helped a friend source and install a new module for an older Brietling Aerospace, etc.

Yes, I know it seems a bit odd to go to a guy in a stand on the street. But (in my experience at least) he’s honest, seems to know his stuff, and will tell you what he can and can’t do.

Best

I definitely avoid the ones near Chungking! And much appreciated about Raymond. I may have seen him before but never used his service. Will try to chat him up to see if he has any thoughts. Will keep you posted if it turns out ok!
