I like it

I like the watch a lot. Fits very well on your wrist.

Reminds me bit of the CARTIER Tank

In addition it’s great to see a post such as yours. The posts on the mighty Patek’s, Vacheron’s, Richard de Mille’s etc etc do get a lot of hits and attention. Logical since for the vast majority of people these are out of reach so still great to read about them.

But a post like yours that starts with “not exclusive not expensive” display watches that are within reach of many more wallets.

It’s bit like cars; “we love supercars, read about them, and drool on the pictures. But for the Opel Astra we want to buy we look at specs prices and warranty.”

Perhaps I like your post so much because it keeps our feet on the ground.

Wear it often and when you wear it then do do with pride on that very nice Art Deco dial and case

Ps: purely personal: quartz is the only thing I don’t like on it haha

And for quartz - as watchmakers we have to accept it. This one has an old school ETA movement that is actually not too bad, 15 jewels and (if you believe me) repairable.

The current ETA with this reference is not even closely related to the old one. As Sestch group will come after me with their lawyers if I say something about their current products, I can only elaborate on the old and discontinued version and pin point w...

Thanks for those details. (nt)

A Hampton?

I enjoyed my Hampton (without numerals on the dial) for a full ten years before I bought my first mechanical watch in 2009

Masculinity is about the man, not the watch.

A worthy man will make an elegant watch masculine. A boy who needs a watch to feel masculine probably would gain more from regular visits to the gym. —Rick
