I have bought 3

Patek Philippe watches from Authorized Dealers over the last 22 years. Two were very basic models, and one was a Perpetual Calendar. In all truth there was nothing “Special” about any of those transactions. I went in, paid a lot of money, and walked out the door. Certainly I was VERY happy to get my watches, but the “Retail Experience”overall was nothing. I do get invited to the occasional “Patek Philippe Event” here in Los Angeles which is nice. Of course I am nowhere near being a “High Roller” in the eyes of Patek Philippe. In Geneva back in 2016, I went to the Patek Philippe Salon. I walked in wearing a 3940, and was treated like gold! After a fantastic tour of the entire Salon, (including coffee and chocolate! ) they also allowed me to activate a minute repeater. I bought a pair of cuff links. They called me a car  ( which they paid for) and sent me back to my hotel!

That was REALLY something. Next time I am in Geneva, I am going to buy a watch from those guys! No kidding!
The BEST experience I have had buying a Patek Philippe was from a VERY  high-end vintage Patek Philippe Dealer in New York City. That guy treats me RIGHT!

I had, like everybody here, very different experiences, from the very bad to the unforgettable.

From the very bad: Arrogance, disdain. Sales people looking at you as someone not worth any consideration or like a cow to milk. Bad but funny: Incompetence. Once I went into a shop to see a watch from a certain brand, the superb and eye catching lady cam...
