The gmt hand moves at a snails pace unlike most GMTs when setting the time it stay put but it does move as time goes on just very slowly. I don’t know what movement is used? The way I would use it, would be to keep the GMT hand as a 24hr hand use the bezel as a second time zone or change the main hour & minute hands to the time zone your in The Reason I, say this is once you set the GMT to the position you have it, it stays there till the pusher is pressed. But It can also be moved to any desire time around the dial. The GMT will sweep back and forth for a couple seconds then go back in place. I honestly don’t know why Timex did it this way.
