Highlights of Vulcain 2014 Collection

Just viewed some Vulcain Basel 2014 Collections, and there were four stunning pieces which caught my attention.

Let's go through them, starting with the President's Cricket " Pegasus in the sky".

The President's Cricket " Pegasus" Collection is to commemorate the  first Vulcain Monoboutique in Beijing, and also at the same time to celebrate this Year of the Horse too.  However, this Pegasus theme is based on Greek mythology, so this collection is not solely targeted for the Asians.  This collection consists of two limited edition models, which are with grand feu cloisonne enamel - the 'Pegasus in the sky' and 'Pegasus on the mountain'.

The President's Cricket " Pegasus in the sky" is of diameter 42mm in 5N 18K rose gold case.  Limited to 18 pieces per model.

The attractive dial work is grand feu cloisonne enamel.

Domed Sapphire crystal.
Case is in dual-polishing - gloss on facing and brush matt on the side profile.

Beautiful dial with the rich blue!

Movement is  Vulcain automatic Calibre V-20, with alarm about a duration of 20 seconds.  Power reserve of 42 hours beating at 18,000VPH.

Piece comes with black Louisiana alligator leather strap and 18K gold buckle.

Next, the Aviator GMT Pilot DLC ...

This 42mm diameter combo of 24-hour worldtime, GMT and alarm model, is limited to 250 pieces.

The 316L steel case is treated with diamond-like-coating, DLC  with a water resistance rating up to 100m.

Pusher and crowns are DLC too. Sapphire crystal is slightly domed.

The screw-down crown at 4H is for adjustment of 24-hour.

Within is Vulcain Cricket Calibre V-10, beats at 18,000 vph with 42 hours power reserve.
At full power, the alarm has a duration of 15 to 20 seconds.

The next attractive model, the Nautical Seventies, a re-issue of the Vulcain iconic 1970 Nautical model which  was diving watch with a chart dial and alarm which was audible underwater.
This vintage looking model is limited to 300 pieces.

Guessed the decompression chart is for diving up to 40 metres deep.  The current new reissue model is only rated to 30 meters water resistance.

The various shades of orange, just made this piece stand out and attractive too.

Steel case of 42mm diameter, and matt brush-polished with a raised sapphire crystal.

The crown at 4H is for adjusting the  inner minute-rotating rehaut ring.

Solid caseback with case rated to 300m water resistance rating.

Within is the hand-wound Vulcain Cricket Calibre V-10, beating at 18,000 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. Alarm duration is also 15 to 20 seconds at full power.

Lastly, another classic - 50s President's Chronograph

Name could be misleading though.  This model has association with the world of Soccer.  Vulcain has a history of early establishing itself with Spain soccer as early as 1934.
Thus this version is limited to 1934 pieces.

Clean classical design... 42mm diameter steel case.  Also available in rose gold too.

This single pusher chronograph also incorporate a 30-pulsation pulsograph on the dial.

The subdial at 9H is the small second  while the 30-minute counter at 3H.  Centre sweep-second hand is the chronograph second.

Lovely, without a date window smile

Domed sapphire crystal and dual-polishing case.

Movement named as automatic Vulcain Calibre V-57, seems to be an ETA base, has power reserve of 42 hours and beat at 28,000VPH.
A non-alarm piece.

Any of the piece/s grabbed your attention?
