I agree with your thoughts regarding Eberhard generally. In their hey day they put out some amazing watches. The vintage Scafografs are wonderful divers, and the Contograf is quite a looker as well.

Yes, antimagnetic indeed. This was Eberhard's throw into that ring, but they didn't make many of them. I'll take some more scans shortly and post them. Keep up the hunt - look forward to seeing your when you find it. Darren

It is definitely a watch I am hunting, with the Omega CK 2914, the Rolex 1019 ( a 6541 is an unaffordable dream ), and the PP 3417. Yes, rarely seen in the different collectors markets... Damn rare bird. Best, and enjoy yours! Nicolas

This was not a military-issued timepiece, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was used for that purpose. While it was meant to be worn hard, with no bezel timer (and an unknown depth rating), not sure how it would do under water. One thing is clear ... it w...

... which I didn´t know about. It has a look similar to Railmasters, or even Explorers. May I ask if this stippled bezel around dial is the original one of this model? It surprises me a bit this type of decoration in a watch. A wonderful timepiece indeed....

In response to your question, the bezel is indeed original to the watch. My understanding is that not all of the Scientigrafs have this bezel, but I can't confirm that. I agree that the watch shares a bit in common with the Explorer. Darren
