At the low end, colorful and fun watches are often a fashion accessory. At the high end, manufacturers may want to distinguish themselves with exotic designs and materials. But in between, watches tend to be more sober and ‘serious’ and, regrettably, buyers may be drawn in to reflect status or achievement, a factor which works against more lighthearted or risky designs. But there is always hope and opportunity for something new — or a creative design inspired by the past.

It is always a fun watch - and reminds me of trips to Italy. Might even have had it with me in Trieste As for Rolex - that’s an interesting piece of info. Should not be difficult for others to replicate but I guess no one does
