Grandpa's old pocketwatch

Actually, it goes back to the mid 1800s or a little before. It's English, with a chain and fusée. It's seen some rough use and rougher attempts at "fixing" it decades ago. Unfortunately, a retired watchmaker who specialized in antique clocks couldn't get it to work, so it's likely not fixable. Still, an heirloom that I'll treasure for the memories it holds.

It looks very ancient. And i have no watch of one of my grandpa’s. I remember both had no watch. But grandma always wear a watch, she is almost 100. Why my grand fathers had no watch is, they where poor, and i think one grand father hates time.

most important ever. Despite of it, i have family members who do not see it. When i am thinking about my grand mothers and grand fathers, it is all there is. The childhood is priceless.

Thanks! [nt]
