Hello SEIKO is what you are looking for. It ticks all your boxes. Maybe except the 'Top 10 manufacture' category. It may not be the ' prestige Swiss ' brand that most people associate with the likes of Zenith, Rolex and JLC. But I think its best models - ...  

Seiko, Grand Seiko and Credor are my favorite brands now, I also have a soft spot for some Orient watches as well. S

CITIZEN is in the similar category, but a bit weak in the mechanical watch department.... Very good choice, MervC! Ken

For the same budget, you can grab a Vintage JLC Memovox, a 4 ATM Jaeger Chrono, some military Monopushers such as Lemania, or Breitling, or even cheaper, the Hamilton Chrono for the RAF, and a ton of other examples. For a bit more, you can grab a Zenith 1... 

Yes. On that note, You might want to look at brands like Minverna, Heuer, Universal Geneve, Lemania, Angelus .... Wonderful brands with excellent Chronos.
