FPJ Chronometre Souverain versus Lange Saxonia Annual Calendar
This is a hypothetical this or that since I have only seen the Saxonia Annual Calendar in photos at this point. I am attracted to the Lange's legibility for an annual calendar, combined with the moonphase and big date complications. In comparison, I am very familiar with the FPJ, having one as part of my collection. It is a watch that doesn't get much wrist time, but it makes me smile when I do wear it.
My question is which watch could you see yourself wearing over the next several years, and more importantly why? In terms of movements, would you consider the manual wind FPJ or the automatic Lange as being more robust? I would typically think a manual wind would be more robust, but I am not sure in this case. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

My take..
To me both look elegant and classy. I would prefer the annual calendar because of 1 simple reason. It's a clean symmetrical dial. It also has a moonphase to boost which is a plus.
lange calendar would be my choice
Lange all the way. and this may be controversial, but owning 3 lange's and one journe, i believe the langes are better made and more reliable. i've had almost zero mechanical problems with the langes other than doing stupid things like dropping them. and ...
Can you tell us why your FPJ doesn't get much wrist time?
Personally, I find the Lange not very stylish (not to say ugly) and the FPJ much more elegant atthough without power indicator it would be even more elegant.

Because you are comparing a manual wind watch with only the one complication i.e. PR. Against an automatic piece with several complications. A fairer comparison may have been against the FP Journe Calendrier. May I ask is it because you are trying to deci...

automatic vs handwind, not the same complication, not the same style... not the same price ! The CS is a beautiful watch from FPJ but I would tend to compare it to a Lange 1 more than to the Saxonia Annual Calendar. I like the balanced dial of the Saxonia...
When we talk about the looks,
so just the physical appearance of the watch; the FPJ wins IMHO. Next to each other, the Lange looks a bit boring. In general the FPJ is much more elegant end special. GEO
