Horological Meandering

For Thursday:

The Arnold & Son Time Pyramid in rose gold.

I'm a little distressed by the more recent iterations of this watch - they strike me as somehow gaudy, what with the profusion of materials and finishes on the "dials". I think some simplicity works better with a display of this much inherent visual complexity. (I also miss the serpentine blued steel power reserve pointers.)

The silver lining: the white chapter ring for the hours is more legible than the sapphire in the earlier model (at least in the rendering). The new one is also a bit smaller, at 42.5mm vs. 44.6mm. That will make the watch wearable for far more potential owners.
