Fit for purpose ...
That's true, but I still prefer watches that are 'fit for purpose'. Watches that are functionally designed to do what they were meant to, and physically designed to fit the human wrist comfortably and not get caught on clothing. Once they go outside of this in terms of sizes that are not wearable, dial colours that are not legible (remember black dials with black hands!), and materials that are not appropriate for the purpose, all for the sake of 'fashion', I start to lose interest.
Perhaps we should have a grumpy old mens forum?

Fortunately the straps could be changed ;-)

Was that trend started by Chanel? I like both watches, but the dial of the Hard Black is much nicer (The One is my favorite LW model) IMO. I love the matte black finish on the watch. Great pictures of both timepieces, Kong! Cheers, Daos

one can argue that there are alot of buyers of Pams , APs etc are also buying them as fashionable items. and i have no issues with tht. i havebought watches basis of fashion the its horological merits as well. but i believe i have a good balance fro watch...

I would wear the white one, definitely ....
... but not with the white strap. Give it a tan strap, or a black rubber one, and you have a perfect sports watch with white dial. Why should a white dial alone transform a watch into a ladies' timepiece? Regards, Marcus
