First, there were no ballet slippers in the post - click here . Bad form....
Second, if there were any prizes when this question was asked in August - click here - then MTF has been exceedingly slow (to put it benignly) to announce the results and distribute the prizes. Bad form...
Third, nobody did anything about the LW ads obscuring text on screen - click here - and now the mental scarring is permanent. Bad look...
Finally, white is the colour of surrender: AndrewD reckons that may be OK for the French, Italian or Iraqi markets, but he says that no self-respecting Australian 'bloke' or 'sheila' should be seen dead (or should only be seen dead) in a white watch on a white strap.

...on the white shoes, I'm heading up to Maloolaba/Bribie next week...Also get to play Spot-The-AWOL/FIFO-Sticker game

in an era where brands are going back to their roots polishing some of their iconic watches and putting it in production again " a limited run of watches in majority of cases " which help strengthin the identity or an image of a certain brand ... infront of that where will such brands like LW will stand ... in the current era of back to the roots ... i do believe that its a demanding era such brands need more than a color switching to leave a remarkable finger print..

... why brides marry in white. Aren't all kitchen appliances white???

Don't get me wrong, I think white watches are pretty hot from a fashion perspective.
DaosThat's true, but I still prefer watches that are 'fit for purpose'. Watches that are functionally designed to do what they were meant to, and physically designed to fit the human wrist comfortably and not get caught on clothing. Once they go outside of this in terms of sizes that are not wearable, dial colours that are not legible (remember black dials with black hands!), and materials that are not appropriate for the purpose, all for the sake of 'fashion', I start to lose interest.
Perhaps we should have a grumpy old mens forum?
A
one can argue that there are alot of buyers of Pams , APs etc are also buying them as fashionable items. and i have no issues with tht. i havebought watches basis of fashion the its horological merits as well. but i believe i have a good balance fro watches in the "fashion" spectrum to serious horological pieces.
the problem for me is fashion pieces trying to pass off as serious horological efforts, caked in a layer of marketing BS and heavily advertised cum personality endorsements.
best, Horo
