Few pics of my "OLD" Airman one...
Hi all
Here are some pictures of my Airman with his notice instructions.
My version is "Old" Airman, which puts it in the late 50s.
I was lucky to find it in its original configuration. To be honest, I was not really quiet compared to the number of false lurking.
A friend expert has kindly reassured me and the seller has finally convinced me.
This Airman 1 has several features that are good indicators of its originality.
Red date, with plexiglass lens, not corrugated crown, no automatic marking on the dial, screw back and Felsa engine.
In the picture above, the locking system of the bezel as on Weems.
This watch has a sense of strength and sophistication. The dial is super loaded, which gives charm to the watch.
It quickly adapts to the reading of 24 hours and without reading the second time is immediate.
The caseback & his Patent.
Finally, I do not advise you this Airman. It has a heavy military past, a set of very technical specifications and design exudes a real presence on the wrist.
Best
Doug
