Ending The Year With This Trio...

Dec 20, 2023,19:28 PM

2023 has seen some changes, but the JLC is a long term keeper, so was there at the start and end. The other two have swapped around quite a bit, but AP to AP and Rolex to Rolex and back a few times!

They cover all bases for me in the AP daily, the Deep Sea for holidays and the JLC is my 'any other business' watch.

I bought the JLC new ten years ago and sold it around 2019. The buyer offered it back to me late last year and back it came.

I swapped a black dial ROO Diver for a white dial 15400ST, but never bonded, so swapped out for the Elephant.

Rolex, well, 2023 has seen a Sub Date in steel, steel and gold, Starbucks and Pepsi, before settling on the 126660.

I'll never comit they won't change again, but for now, they're just fine for me.

So you cycled through each of the listed Rolexes, including Pepsi, and ended with Sea Dweller? And same with AP? I love each final choice, especially the Elephant.👌🏽

Yes!

I am a massive fan of the new 41mm Rolex case, plus I've had three Deep Sea's previously and never settled, but enjoying it this time around. I should never have sold the AP Diver and the RO was a mistake. The Elephant is 'better value' being a chrono and...

Strong trio, burnsey66!

Especially the JLC on perlon.

Perfect Trio!

LOVE the JLC. Big fan of the 126660, for me the best Rolex sports model even if it is a chunky monkey. Have a very Happy Christmas and a great New Year, and, remember to let me know if you're over Limavady way 2024!

Thanks Nev!

And yes, will be over and looking forward to catching up. Happy Christmas mate.

The Offshore looks to be of the platinum variety

Love the smoked dial.

Right?! I initially thought the picture was that rare platinum version with smoked dial.

That must be an awesome piece on the wrist. But I love the Elephant as well.

It is steel

Just a poor dial representation with the light - it is grey... ...

Indeed, now I see the full grey dial

Great everyday Offshore.

This is the only 42mm I’ve kept.👌🏽

Although I do miss the vampire black/red with ceramic bezel.

Here is a photo of that platinum model with smoked dial

I tried it on years ago in Las Vegas. A real heavy piece! ...

Is that a similar smoked dial color like our 43mm taupe ROO?

On the bracelet would be too much/heavy. I saw a picture on a brown leather strap which looked really attractive.

Similar for sure.

The platinum 42mm has more grey in it than our 43 taupes. On the bracelet, this watch is indeed an arm stretcher!

Congrats on a fantastic trio, three great pieces 👌🏻
