In house or not in house, this is an eternal debate, indeed.
The biggest advantage of the in house movement is that it demonstrates a more complex approach from the Manufacture, rather thabn housing and adaptating an already known and used movement.
With some reserves, nonetheless, such as the modular movements...
I wouldn't be worried about the quality of a VC Perpetual Chrono... And especially when it comes to the Malte Excellence Series in platinum... A true master piece, from my point of view.
