If I would buy my first fine watch, I would take Rolex Submariner. In my opinion Sea Dweller is clear "overkill". Best, Kari

That would look very good on a lady! But indeed the question is: what purpose would you use the watch most for? The answer lies there.

Submariner and Sea-Dweller are both "masculine" watches. But the SD is the professional diver's watch...its the watch that became iconic for Rolex 50 years ago..... In my view, there is little more attractive on a lady than an overtly masculine watch. It ...  

but we have the Kalpa and have never had a Rolex as we think they are too common, But easier to sell if need be to finance another watch..

for me, used for Parmigiani and new for Rolexes. If $$$ not a concern, like some members said, what do you have and how you like your collection to look like? Wear both and see if you feel that "ah ha" moment. Rgds Raymond
