Dear SJX, you are both right and wrong
I do not have your talent for taking splendig photographs
but, as demonstrated, I can place unsightly watermarks.
I have noticed on this forum that some very few do use watermarks and others don't.
There no question watermark can affect the appeal of a picture if not completely ruin it.
May I invite you to look again at the otherwise splendid detail of the dial displaying a tiger? I am sure you will understand want I mean.

as a gentleman to other gentlemen, the watermarks are indeed 1. intended to protect SJX's intellectual property from web cut-and-pasting, and are probably successful, yet 2. distract and detract somewhat from the value of the images for innocent viewers t...

thank you for making your point in a gentlemanly manner. You are right that the watermark does affect the beauty of the photo somewhat. But it doesn't change the fundamental purpose of the photo which is to inform and enlighten about what happened at SIHH...
