Are you all sick of BaselWorld yet? Well we thought we would hold our own BasilWorld, Aussie style, over pizza and beer. A group of Melbourne watch enthusiasts have been meeting monthly for convivial conversation, watches, beer and food (in that approxima...  

on ordering the basil pizza. I was wondering. I really like the Accutron Deep Sea, and the Calatrava & Royal Oak are both beautiful to see in the metal. A great range of people & watches. Already looking forward to next time. grumio

We will have to make BasilWorld an annual post-Basel event. Who knows where we will end up next month. How about an Omega theme for the next WatchBand GTG? Great to see everyone. Andrew

As a 'tweep', albeit not a Melbourne one, I was wondering about the sudden appearance of a 'Watchband' mention. I like it a lot! The trio are really interesting, and I would love to see the Vulcain Annivesary in the flesh in particular. I'll bring along m... 

... once I found it on the table! Actually it's very cool. Quite a solid hunk of dive watch, but more legible than the black-on-black would suggest. Interesting luminosity as well when charged. You would of course be welcome, with the Vulcain or otherwise...

MelbourneWatchBand is an awesome bunch of group. Great to meet all the crews last night. Thanks to Andrew for a lovely pictures here. Didn't know my new adopted child will meet her sibling there! Looking forward for the next time.

What a name! :p Looks like a great GTG! Pizza, watches and buddies. What could be better? I like the look of that Vulcain Anniversary Heart a lot. We rarely see the watch on the forum. My only regret is that the movement is obstructed by a stylized "V" mo...

The 'big guns' have their place, but so much horological fun to be had at all levels. An Omega theme sounds like fun, and we have a few keen Omega-philes amongst the group. Looking forward to it. Andrew
