Horological Meandering

Chopard is moving with the times

Thanks Marcus for the report.

As a 'conservative chap' I am always a little wary about change in design ethic.

The big surprise for me was the Mille Miglia SuperFastSplit Seconds.  The design is modern.  Usually, Chopard was criticised for having great movements but a little staid case/dial design. This year -  KaPow! Not any more!  smile

The arena back display is a little surprise too but at least for Chopard, there is something great to see. Their LUC movements are top notch and of best finishing value.

The urushi dial watches are stunning with more than one technique used. It seems appropriate that the Art of Japan will contribute to its recovery after the tragedy.

I agree that the hidden stars are the XP Tonneau watches. You can count the extra flat tonneau watch models available in the world today, on the thumbs of one hand  smile

Extra flat and shaped movement? A rare find..........

Regards,

MTF
