I've got a catalogue here and it says that the Steel 39 mounts a RL751A/1 (65 hours power reserve) while the 45 has the RL750 (48 hours power reserve).
So i guess they're two different calibers...
We can find the RL751A/1 also in the Automotive Chrono 45mm, while the RL750 cames in the ceramic chrono (all sizing) and in the 45 Gunmetal SS and regular SS chrono.
Any ideas?

Hi PuristS,, I was wondering if anyone can explain me which movement are mounted inside the raplh lauren chronograph. They use their own mvmt code so i cant understand what JLC chrono are...im considering buying a 39 or 44mm SS gunmetal chrono, and beside...
Are you referring to their ceramic watch that comes in 39 and 45mm?
They are both based on JLC calibre 750...perhaps that's why mutated into RL750 for Ralph Lauren. It's a good chrono, and there are various variants of it. Cartier also uses the same calibre in their Pasha chronos. If you are asking about why the size diff...
