Are you referring to their ceramic watch that comes in 39 and 45mm?
They are both based on JLC calibre 750...perhaps that's why mutated into RL750 for Ralph Lauren. It's a good chrono, and there are various variants of it. Cartier also uses the same calibre in their Pasha chronos.
If you are asking about why the size difference...it's just the case. In the 45mm watch, RL just place some spacers to hold the movement.

Hi Horo, thank you for your reply! I've got a catalogue here and it says that the Steel 39 mounts a RL751A/1 (65 hours power reserve) while the 45 has the RL750 (48 hours power reserve). So i guess they're two different calibers... We can find the RL751A/...
