Horological Meandering

At least (😎)

technically this watch seems extremely well thought through.

Actually had a long discussion about exactly this topic with the head watchmaker of my AD (after the purchase!)

His opinion was quite interesting:
he said the movement is technically extremely good and very mature. Of course, it is industrially manufactured and not traditional haute horlogerie finishing - but according to him it is a very robust, very reliable and very intelligently constructed movement.

He even said that if one tries to draw a line somewhere between Patek Philippe and IWC perpetual calendars, this movement is in some ways “the best of both worlds”.

What I personally also really appreciate:
the calendar is mainly adjustable via the crown. There are only two pushers, reserved for weekday and moonphase correction. Very practical and surprisingly elegant from a usability perspective.

And of course the immediate calendar switching after midnight impressed me a lot. All indications switch very decisively and almost instantly. Once one gets used to that behavior, slower transitions become surprisingly difficult to accept!

I have now observed the watch for around 34 hours and it is currently running at +1 second, which honestly impresses me quite a bit for a perpetual calendar chronograph with 96 hours of power reserve.
